The Harry Vold Ranch consists of 16,466 +/- grassland acres located 15 miles from Pueblo and 65 miles from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Of this acreage 8,160 acres are deeded and 8,306 acres are in a Colorado State Land Board Lease. The assignment of which will be subject to the approval by the State Land Board. The Vold Family Trust will work to ensure that the approval and the value of the improvements will be in place prior to the closing of the sale.

PROPERTY DETAILS
The native grasses on the Harry Vold Ranch are predominately productive Blue, Hairy and Side oats grammas, buffalo, western wheat as well as other short prairie grass species. There are two artesian wells located on the state lands and numerous water holes and earthen dams on the deeded lands. Newly constructed and highly productive water well has been drilled on the ranch this last summer. A second location has been identified for an additional well to be developed. There is a new transmission line easement in place. The remaining option and construction payments will go to the buyer. Any mineral rights will be retained by the Seller.

The Harry Vold Ranch is located in Avondale, a small town in Pueblo County, Colorado, with a population of 1,200 people and has a friendly community. The small-town charm makes it a great place to raise a family or retire. With picturesque landscapes, including nearby mountain ranges, rivers, and parks, the area is great for outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and camping. Compared to other parts of Colorado, the cost of living in Avondale is relatively low. HISTORY
This historic ranch was the pride and joy of the iconic Pro-Rodeo Hall of Fame stock contractor Harry Vold, known affectionately as the “Duke of the Chutes”. Historically this ranch produced the “Born to Buck” stock horses and bulls considered among the best in the rodeo world. Many have been honored as the bareback and saddle bronc horses of the year and bucking bull of the year by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Harry is one of only two rodeo stock contractors that has provided rough stock for the National Finals since 1959. Harry’s accomplishments and awards were to numerous to mention them all. That legacy continues with the extended Vold families providing rough stock for rodeos across the country still today.
The East portion of the ranch was once owned by the famous Gene Autry as part of his Flying A Ranch.

This grass pastureland that is for sale is owned by the Harry Vold Trust. The Vold Rodeo Company is Not for Sale. The Rodeo Company has purchased another portion of the original ranch with facilities, improvements and pastureland.
